how to cancel shout down in XP

4 this u should be administrator
after u click shutdown
press WINDOWS+R 
and type there
shutdown -a                                          this is for aborting the process completely
shutdown -s or shut down -r                  about 30 sec to shut down your computer.
shutdown  i                                          here u can add your own time
